I woke up this morning to Liz Jones’s attack on Clare Balding. The Daily Mail is well known for being sexist (the Femail column down the side of their homepage is one example,) female celebrities’ waistline and body image is NOT news.
For a newspaper that discriminates against women it is bizarre that it likes to employ women who like to discriminate against themselves as well, Jan Moir is one of their pioneers of hate columns and there’s also Samantha Brick who feels she was only put on this earth to please her husband and any woman who disagrees is an abomination to the sex.
So before this morning I had never heard of Liz Jones, what have I been missing? Her latest attack on Clare Balding isn’t about her being a successful woman or anything to do with her sexuality but that she continues to commentate on a sport which treats their animals poorly. It’s a pretty harsh attack and there must be some more reasons behind it and why other women like to publicly attack women in their articles. They are either jealous of other women’s success which leads them to be bitter, they want publicity/more readers for their drivel or they just want to provoke a reaction and be well known for something, even if it is as a bitter, chauvinistic stupid imbecilic.
Here’s a tip to those writers like Jan Moir, Liz Jones, Samantha Brick and anyone else who thinks that attacking others is interesting or newsworthy, try some journalism.

Worth reading more of Liz Jones’s columns: she has some truly bizarre opinions that could be useful source material for your comedy.
She’s also quite open about the car-crash that is her personal life. I don’t think the Mail does her any favours by encouraging her to expose herself like this.
